Sunday School Crafts: Building
In Ecclesiastes 3:3 it says "There is a time for building"
You will need:
- Lots of junk (cartons, toilet rolls, tubes etc)
- A4 card
- marker pen
- newspaper
Each child will need:
- cartons/boxes
- foil and cake cups
- junk
- PVA glue and spreader
- paint in non spill tubs
- apron
- card with verse on
Your preparation:
Organise a junk collection in advance. Write the verse onto strips of card with the marker pen.
What to do:
Cover the table with lots of newspaper to absorb the glue and paint. Encourage the children to build a tower, house, ship, whatever they feel like. Stick the bits together with the PVA glue. Set aside to dry slightly.
Once all the children have finished building, call back those who finished first to start painting. This will allow the glue on the last ones built to dry a little.
Talkabout:
God made the world and God made us. God made us to be clever and to be able to build things. Look at the amazing things you have done today.
